Itinerary
Welcome to Lataguri, a scenic town located at the edge of the Gorumara National Park. You will be greeted by the tour guide and transferred to your chosen accommodation. In the afternoon, set out for an exciting jeep safari in Gorumara National Park, one of the best places to spot wildlife in the Dooars region. The park is home to the famous Indian one-horned rhinoceros, elephants, bison, wild boar, and over 200 species of birds. The dense forest and riverine landscapes make it a photographer’s paradise. The Watchtower offers a perfect view of the park’s diverse wildlife. Relax and enjoy a peaceful night at your hotel in Lataguri.
After breakfast, depart for a visit to the Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary, located just 30 minutes away from Lataguri. This sanctuary is a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts, especially those hoping to spot the elusive Bengal tiger. The area is also home to elephants, leopards, barking deer, and a large variety of birds. Embark on a morning safari through the sanctuary’s verdant forests and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Keep an eye out for the royal Bengal tiger and the many species of flora and fauna. After the safari, return to your accommodation for lunch. Known for its thick forests and a variety of wildlife, Chilapata is a hidden gem for wildlife enthusiasts. Enjoy a jeep safari through the forest, where you can spot elephants, leopards, bison, and numerous species of birds. The jungle’s serenity and beauty make it an ideal place for nature lovers and photographers. Chilapata is also home to ancient ruins known as the Nalraja Ruins. After a relaxed breakfast, you’ll have the morning free for some leisure time or a short walk around the area to soak in the last views of the Dooars. After lunch, check out and head back to Siliguri for your onward journey.
