About Jaldhaka
The Jaldhaka rises in Bhutan and Sikkim and cuts a deep green valley through the northern Dooars before spreading across the plains. Along its course sit Jhalong, Bindu, Paren and a string of hydel installations built in the 1960s.
The whole valley is a single scenic route — forest, river, cardamom, and repeated glimpses across the water into Bhutan.
