About Panbari Forest

Panbari lies along the road from Chalsa to Jhalong, a strip of dense foothill forest that birders visit for hornbills, broadbills, barbets and a long list of foothill specialities.

Butterflies are exceptional here through the late monsoon, and orchids flower along the roadside trees.
