About Hollong
The Hollong Tourist Lodge is a timber bungalow standing deep inside Jaldapara National Park, named after the hollong trees that surround it. A natural salt pit directly below the balcony draws rhino, elephant and deer through the night.
Rooms are famously hard to get and must be booked well ahead through the West Bengal forest department, but no other stay in the Dooars puts you this close to wild animals.

Why visit
- Watch rhino from your own balcony
- The most atmospheric forest lodge in North Bengal
- Elephant safaris depart from the doorstep
