About Totopara
Totopara, on the Torsa river below the Bhutan hills, is the only settlement of the Toto people — a community of roughly 1,600 who have their own language, faith and script recently developed to record it.
Visiting responsibly, with local guides and permission, offers a rare window into a culture that has survived at the very edge of the Himalaya.
