About Murti
The Murti river runs shallow and clear over a wide bed of grey stones between Gorumara and Chapramari, and the small resort village on its bank has become the most loved base in the Dooars. Afternoons here are spent wading in the water; evenings belong to campfires and the sound of the forest across the river.
Almost every Dooars itinerary passes through Murti, because both national parks, Chalsa, Samsing and the Jaldhaka valley are within an hour's drive.
